About This Project

A 5–10 minutes craft for ages 3–7, using supplies you likely already have — Staplers, Markers, and Staples.

GlueStick supports kids from setup to cleanup. After they choose a project, we guide them through gathering the supplies, making it, and cleaning up when they're done. We'll even help them share it safely with trusted family and friends.

Make Easy and Fun Paper Plate Ghost Craft (that Rattles!)

    Your creative buddy says:
"Are you as excited to make this as I am?"

Step 1: Draw the Ghost Face

    May need grown-up help
Flip one white paper plate over so you are looking at the back. Grab a black marker and draw a ghost face. You can make the face simple or add lots of details and colors. If you want, you can use googly eyes instead of drawing them.

    Step 2: Add the Rattle

    May need grown-up help
Turn the second paper plate so the front is facing up. Sprinkle a small handful of pony beads onto this plate. These beads will make the noise when you shake your ghost. What If I Don’t Have Beads on Hands? You can really use anything that will make a noise when you shake your ghost craft. If you don’t have beads, try dried beans, Christmas bells, rice (though make sure the staples are close together), mini stones, or whatever you have on hand.

    Step 3: Put It Together

SHARP! Grown-up required May need grown-up help
Place the paper plate with the ghost face on top of the plate with the beads. This will make a pouch with the beads inside. Use your stapler to attach the two plates together. Go all the way around the outside edge, leaving about one inch between each staple. Ask an adult for help with the stapler if you need to.
