Make Easy Community Helpers Activity Cards

    Your creative buddy says:
"Let's stick together and make this one!"

    Step 2: Color your helper.

Use your crayons or markers to color all the parts of your community helper. Make them bright and colorful! If you want to use paint, make sure it dries before you go to the next step.

Step 3: Cut out the pieces.

    SHARP! Grown-up required
Carefully cut out all the colored pieces for your community helper card. If you are little, ask a grown-up to help you with the scissors.

Step 4: Make your card base.

Pick a piece of construction paper for your card. Think about what color your community helper might wear! For example, a doctor might wear white, or a construction worker might wear yellow. Fold the paper in half and ask a grown-up to help you cut along the fold. Now, take one of those halves and fold it in half again. This will be the base of your card.

Step 5: Glue your card together.

Now it's time to glue your community helper pieces onto your card. Use your glue stick to stick them down.

    Step 6: Add details

Then, use your markers or crayons to add any extra details you want, like buttons or a smile! Open your card and write a special message or draw a picture inside. If your card paper is dark, you might need to glue a white piece of paper inside first so your message shows up.

Step 7: Special farmer card overalls.

If you are making a farmer card, here is a special trick for the overalls! Before you glue on the farmer's hat and other clothes, cut a square from blue construction paper. Glue it onto the card for the bottom part of the overalls, leaving a little space at the top. Trim any extra paper. Then, cut two thin strips of blue paper for the overall straps and glue them on. The pocket is on your printed sheet, so color it, cut it out, and glue it on. Use your crayons or markers to draw buttons and stitches on the overalls to make them look real!
