    Make Family Handprints Wall Hanging

    Your creative buddy says:
"I can't wait to make a project with you!"

Step 1: Trace your family's hands.

Ask everyone in your family to put their hand on a piece of colorful paper. Use a pencil to trace around each hand. Make sure each person uses a different color of paper!

Step 2: Decorate the handprints with tape.

First, cut off the extra paper around the traced handprint, but don't cut out the handprint yet. Then, take your colorful washi tape. Stick pieces of tape on the handprints. Try to put the tape on the side of the paper where you did not trace the lines. If you are a little one, you can use small pieces of tape and put them anywhere you like! You can also try to reach across your body to place the tape, which is a fun game for your hands.

Step 3: Cut out the handprints.

Now, carefully cut out each handprint along the traced lines. Ask a grown-up for help if you need it!

Step 4: Weave and glue the handprints together.

Take all your cut-out handprints. Lay them down and weave them together in any way you like. Make them overlap and touch. When you like how they look, use your glue stick to glue them together where they touch.

Step 5: Add a hanger (optional).

If you want to hang your handprints, ask a grown-up to help you punch two holes at the top of your handprint art. Then, cut a piece of white yarn about 6 inches long. Tie the ends of the yarn into the holes to make a loop for hanging. If you don't want to hang it, you can put your handprint art in a picture frame instead!
