    Make Ghost Craft Halloween Mobile

    Your creative buddy says:
"Let's stick together and make this one!"

Step 1: Paint the paper plate.

    MESSY! Extra cleanup
First, put some newspaper down to keep your table clean. Squeeze out some dark gray paint onto one paper plate. Use a pompom to paint the bottom of a second paper plate. You don't need to paint the edges. Let it dry. Then, use a clean pompom to tap a lighter gray paint on top. This will make it look like granite!

    Step 2: Make yarn ghosts.

    May need grown-up help
Next, you will make three white yarn ghosts. To make a yarn tassel, cut a length of yarn as long as your arms are stretched out wide. Cut a second piece of yarn about 8 inches long. Wrap the long piece of yarn around and around the fingers of your hand. When you've run out, tie the smaller piece of yarn around the wrapped yarn. To make it easier, slide the small piece between your index and middle finger and then around the rest of the yarn and give it a twist before sliding the bundle of wrapped yarn off your hand. Once it's tied tightly, use a scissors to cut the bottom of the wrapped yarn into a fringe, then trim it so it's even. Weave a long string, about 12 inches, into the top of each tassel. Once you have your three tassels, glue some small googly eyes onto each one to make them look like spooky ghosts.

Step 3: Cut out the tombstone and write a message

Once the paint on your paper plate is dry, cut out the tombstone shape. Then, write a message on your tombstone. Make it anything you want!

    Step 4: Punch holes.

First, punch one hole in the middle at the top of your tombstone. Then, punch three more holes along the bottom of the tombstone. Try to make them an equal distance apart.

Step 5: Put your ghost craft together.

Cut a piece of white yarn about 6 inches long. Thread it through the top hole of your tombstone and tie a knot to make a hanger. Now, take your yarn ghosts. Thread the long strings from each ghost through the three holes at the bottom of the tombstone and tie them in place. Make the ghost strings different lengths so they hang at different heights. Now your ghost mobile is ready to hang!
