About This Project

A 30–45 minutes craft for ages 3–10, using supplies you likely already have — Dish Soap, Scissors, and Tissue Paper.

GlueStick supports kids from setup to cleanup. After they choose a project, we guide them through gathering the supplies, making it, and cleaning up when they're done. We'll even help them share it safely with trusted family and friends.

Ad-free and kid-safe library — designed by a mom who wants kids to explore and create independently.

    Make Milk Carton Easter Basket

    Your creative buddy says:
"Let's stick together and make this one!"

    Step 1: Remove the Label

Take the label off the milk carton. You can soak it in water with a little bit of dish soap to make it easier. Then, rub the label off with a sponge.

Step 2: Mark the Milk Carton

Before you cut the milk carton, draw lines to show where to cut. Draw a line around the bottom part for the basket. Then, draw two strips on the sides to make the handle.

Step 3: Cut the Milk Carton

Ask an adult to help you cut the milk carton along the lines you drew. Start cutting at the top of the carton.

    Step 4: Decorate the Basket

Use tissue paper and Mod Podge to decorate your basket. Dip the tissue paper squares in the glue and stick them onto the basket. Let it dry completely.

    Step 5: Connect the Handle

Once the basket is dry, use a rubber band to connect the two handle pieces together.

    Step 6: Add Ribbon (Optional)

If you want, tie a ribbon around the top of the basket to make it look extra pretty.
