    Make Nutter Butter Penguin Cookies

    Your creative buddy says:
"Are you as excited to make this as I am?"

Heads up! Some supplies may trigger allergies. Check with a grown-up before using them.

Step 1: Mix the black "paint".

    MESSY! Extra cleanup
Put some peanut butter, chocolate spread, or frosting into a small bowl. Add some black food coloring and mix it all together. This will be your black "paint" for the penguins.

Step 2: Cut the candy pieces.

HOT! Grown-up required MESSY! Extra cleanup
Ask a grown-up to help you cut the white candy melts. You need to cut some in half to make wings. You will also need some whole candy melts for the penguin's tummy. Ask a grown-up to help you cut the orange gummy candy into small triangles. These will be the penguin's beaks.

Step 3: Paint your Nutter Butter cookie.

Take a Nutter Butter cookie. Use your small spatula to spread the black "paint" (the peanut butter mixture) onto the cookie. Cover most of the cookie, leaving a space for the white tummy.

    Step 4: Decorate your penguin.

HOT! Grown-up required MESSY! Extra cleanup
Now it's time to make your penguin look real! Place two candy eyes near the top of the cookie. Add an orange triangle for the beak right below the eyes. Stick two half candy melts on the sides for wings. Put one whole candy melt on the bottom for the penguin's white tummy.

Step 5: Enjoy your penguin cookie!

Your Nutter Butter penguin cookie is ready! You can eat it now or share it with a friend.
