About This Project

A 10–30 minutes craft for ages 5–10, using supplies you likely already have — Staplers, Stickers, and Pom Poms.

GlueStick supports kids from setup to cleanup. After they choose a project, we guide them through gathering the supplies, making it, and cleaning up when they're done. We'll even help them share it safely with trusted family and friends.

Ad-free and kid-safe library — designed by a mom who wants kids to explore and create independently.

Make Paper Accordion Fold Christmas Tree

    Your creative buddy says:
"I can't wait to make a project with you!"

Step 1: Print and cut out the template

Print the Christmas Tree template out. Use a different paper color for each section. Align the cutouts together with the largest piece of paper on the bottom, next the middle sized piece, and the smallest piece on top.

Step 2: Accordion fold the paper

    May need grown-up help
Start at one of the short sides and accordion fold all three pieces of paper until you reach the end. Be careful to make sure the three pieces of paper stay aligned.

Step 3: Staple the top of the tree together

    May need grown-up help
Staple the top of the tree together. Use one staple on each side since the paper is pretty thick. If your stapler won’t make it through all the layers you can use a rubber band to secure the top.

    Step 4: Decorate the tree

Open the bottom of the Christmas tree up and decorate the tree with craft supplies.

Step 5: Make the tree stand

To make the tree stand up, clip one or two clothespins to the back to make a stand like a picture frame.
