    Make Paper Plate Umbrella Pouch

    Your creative buddy says:
"Let's stick together and make this one!"

Step 1: Cut the Umbrella Tops

Put two paper plates together. Draw a curvy line on the plates to look like the bottom of an open umbrella. Cut on the line. Now you have two umbrella tops that are the same.

    Step 2: Decorate Your Umbrella

Use your markers and crayons to decorate your umbrella however you like.

    Step 3: Create the Pouch

    SHARP! Grown-up required
Put the cut out paper plate umbrellas together with the fronts facing each other. Leave a space in the middle. Use the stapler to connect the round edges of the plates.

Step 4: Prepare the Umbrella Handle

On the last paper plate, draw and cut out a cane shape. This will be the handle for your umbrella. It should be about 1 1/2 to 2 inches wide and not include the curvy part of the paper plate. Decorate the handle.

    Step 5: Attach the Handle

    SHARP! Grown-up required
Staple the umbrella handle to the top of the umbrella. Put the handle inside and staple it.

Step 6: Add More Details (optional)

    May need grown-up help
Use a q-tip and some paint to add polka dots to your umbrella.

Step 7: Add Your Umbrella's Finishing Touch

Use your glue to put a pony bead on the very top of your umbrella. Let the glue dry.
