About This Project

A 10–20 minutes craft for ages 5–10, using supplies you likely already have — Pom Poms, Scissors, and Googly Eyes.

GlueStick supports kids from setup to cleanup. After they choose a project, we guide them through gathering the supplies, making it, and cleaning up when they're done. We'll even help them share it safely with trusted family and friends.

Ad-free and kid-safe library — designed by a mom who wants kids to explore and create independently.

Make Peas in a Pod Craft

    Your creative buddy says:
"Let's stick together and make this one!"

Step 1: Get and Cut Out Your Pea Pod Shape

    May need grown-up help
First, get the pea pod template. Ask a grown-up to help you print it. Then, cut out your pea pod shapes from green paper. Remember to fold the paper where the template tells you to before cutting.

Step 2: Glue the Pea Pod

Take your glue stick and put glue on the sides of your pea pod shape. Be careful not to put glue on the very top! Now, fold the pea pod closed and press it gently so the glue holds it together.

Step 3: Decorate Your Pea Pod

Now it's time to make your pea pod special! Use your colorful markers to draw pictures or write a sweet message on the front of your paper pea pod.

Step 4: Add Faces to Your Peas and Put Them Inside

Pick out some green pompoms. If they are small, more will fit inside your pea pod! Stick googly eyes onto your pompoms to make them look like little peas with faces. Then, carefully place your new little peas inside the paper pod you made. It's up to you if you want to glue them in or leave them free.
