    Make Police Car Craft

    Your creative buddy says:
"I can't wait to make a project with you!"

Step 1: Paint your paper bag.

    May need grown-up help
Fold down the top couple of inches of a paper lunch bag. Pinch a pompom with a clothespin to make a 'paint brush'. Lay the bag on some newspaper and paint it any colors you like for your police car. You can paint stripes or make it one solid color. Let the paint dry completely. If you don't want to use paint, you can color the bag with crayons or markers instead.

Step 2: Cut out car parts using the template.

    May need grown-up help
Print out the police car craft template. Use the template to cut out all the pieces for your car, like the wheels, windows, bumpers, and a star for decoration. If you don't have a printer, you can draw your own parts.

Step 3: Fill the bag with newspaper.

Once the paint is dry, open the top of the paper lunch bag. Tear strips of dry, unpainted newspaper and crumple them up. Fill the bag until it is full, but not too stuffed.

Step 4: Fold and staple the bag.

    May need grown-up help
Fold down the top of the bag and ask a grown-up to help you secure it on each side with a couple of staples. Place the bag on its side. Then, fold each side of the top of the bag down at an angle (about 45 degrees) and ask a grown-up to help you secure it with staples.

Step 5: Glue the car parts onto the bag.

Use your glue stick to attach the cut-out pieces of your police car onto the bag. Press firmly so the glue sticks well.

Step 6: Add details with markers.

As a final touch, use markers to add any extra details you like. You can write 'police' on the star or draw other cool things to make your car special.
