About This Project

A 20–40 minutes craft for ages 3–6, using supplies you likely already have — Tape, Disposable Plates, and White Glue.

GlueStick supports kids from setup to cleanup. After they choose a project, we guide them through gathering the supplies, making it, and cleaning up when they're done. We'll even help them share it safely with trusted family and friends.

Ad-free and kid-safe library — designed by a mom who wants kids to explore and create independently.

Make Rainbow Soda Bottle and Tissue Paper Craft

    Your creative buddy says:
"I can't wait to make a project with you!"

Step 1: Prepare the Soda Bottle

Ask an adult to help you wash and dry your soda bottle. Then, have them cut the top and bottom off so you are left with a tube. Next, have them cut the tube in half to make two symmetrical arches (1 for each rainbow).

Step 2: Secure Arches to Paper Plate

Use tape to secure the long sides of the arches to a paper plate.

Step 3: Prepare Tissue Paper and Glue

Cut the tissue paper into small squares. Mix the glue with a bit of water to make it easier to brush on.

    Step 4: Decorate the Rainbow

Gently brush glue onto the soda bottle and stick tissue paper on top. Look at a picture of a rainbow and freely create your own.

    Step 5: Add Clouds

Glue cotton balls onto the paper plate to make fluffy clouds.
