    Make School Bus Craft

    Your creative buddy says:
"Are you as excited to make this as I am?"

Step 1: Make the Bus Frame

Lay three large popsicle sticks next to each other. Put a line of white school glue on one side of a fourth popsicle stick. Place this fourth stick across the other three, at an angle, to hold them all together. Let the glue dry for a long time. If you want to go faster, you can use glue dots instead of liquid glue.

Step 2: Paint Your Bus Yellow

    May need grown-up help
Put your popsicle sticks on the paper plate. Squeeze a little yellow paint onto the plate. Pinch a pompom with a clothespin to make a special paintbrush. Dip your pompom brush into the yellow paint and color the front of the three popsicle sticks. Let the paint dry completely.

Step 3: Cut Out Bus Shapes

    May need grown-up help
Ask a grown-up to help you print the school bus template. Use scissors to carefully cut out all the shapes from the template. You will need yellow paper for the bus body, black paper for windows and the door, and gray and red paper for other parts like wheels and lights.

Step 4: Glue on the Bus Parts

Once your yellow paint is dry, use your glue stick to put all the paper pieces onto your popsicle stick bus. Put the black windows and door in place. You can choose to use light blue or white paper for the windows if you like!

    Step 5: Add Fun Details

Your school bus is almost done! Now, use your markers to draw fun details on your bus. You can draw little people in the windows or add lines and shapes. You can also punch out small circles from red paper for the back lights and glue them on. Make your bus special!
