About This Project

A 10–20 minutes craft for ages 5–12, using supplies you likely already have — Pencils, Tissue Paper, and Glue Sticks.

GlueStick supports kids from setup to cleanup. After they choose a project, we guide them through gathering the supplies, making it, and cleaning up when they're done. We'll even help them share it safely with trusted family and friends.

    Make Tissue Decoupage Decorative Pencil

    Your creative buddy says:
"Let's stick together and make this one!"

    Step 1: Gather your materials

Get your pencil, your colorful tissue paper squares, and your glue stick ready. Remember to cover your table if you think it might get messy.

Step 2: Add glue to your pencil

Use your glue stick to put some glue all over a part of your pencil. You don't need to do the whole pencil at once.

Step 3: Stick on tissue paper

Take your tissue paper squares and gently press them onto the glue on your pencil. You can layer different colors to make a pretty mosaic pattern.

    Step 4: Cover your pencil

Keep adding glue and tissue paper until your whole pencil is covered and looks amazing. Let it dry completely before you use it!
