How to find a GlueStick project
Bored kids? GlueStick makes it easy to find easy, affordable arts, crafts, and STEM projects you can do at home with supplies you already have.
Last updated September 16, 2026
Saturday afternoon. Someone whines, “I’m bored.” You could lose an hour scrolling, or you could let your kids find inspiration from a paper plate on the counter, a holiday next week, or an interactive map full of creative ideas.
GlueStick’s Library is built for that moment. Search, snap a picture of what you already have, explore GlueStick Town, or browse — then pick a project that actually fits the time, ages, and mess you can handle today.

Before you start
- Anyone can browse the GlueStick library. You do not need an account to search our content for inspiration.
- You can save your favorites by tapping on the heart on any project. Saving favorites requires a free GlueStick account.
- Guests can try Supply Snap 3 times. A free GlueStick account unlocks more. A paid plan unlocks unlimited searching.
Ways to Search in GlueStick
There are ___ ways to search for engaging, age appropriate, and affordable projects in the GlueStick project library
Basic Search
From the GlueStick home page, find the search bar and type what you want to make — or a supply you already have — then tap Search. Everyday words work best.
GlueStick looks through project names and write-ups, then opens Search results with the closest matches first (Best match).

From there you can:
- Sort by Newest, Shortest time, or Youngest ages
- Filter with Low mess, Budget friendly, or Good for groups (tap a chip again to turn it off)
- Tap Search again to go back to Browse all
Each card shows how long the project takes and the ages it is for. Tap a card to open it. Keep scrolling if you want to see more.
Supply Snap
Get inspiration in a Snap! Take a picture of what is in your cupboard, junk drawer, or recycling bin. GlueStick finds projects you can make with what you already have, so you skip the store trip.
Explore by Map
Kids haven’t learned how to spell and search independently? That’s ok! Open up GlueStick Town Map and let them explore our library by area that interests them.
Browse by holiday, theme, or supply

Browse all opens with Find your perfect project:
- Holidays — craft a tradition together
- Map — explore by interest, no spelling required
- Supply Snap — make with what you already have
- Seasons — ideas for the time of year
- Supplies — start from a favorite material
- STEM — science and engineering (this one searches for “stem”)
Then use the sorting and filtering options under All projects:

- All, Newest, Popular, Quick (under 20 min)
- Ages 3–5, Ages 6–8, Ages 9–12
- Low mess, Budget friendly, Good for groups
Tips for finding a great project
- Search a thing to make (“bookmark”) or a supply you have (“paper plate”).
- Short everyday words beat a long sentence.
- Twenty minutes before dinner? Try Quick (under 20 min) or sort search by Shortest time.
- Scouts, cousins, or a birthday table? Tap Good for groups.
- Tight on cash this week? Budget friendly, or skip search and use Supply Snap.
- You do not want glitter in the sofa? Low mess.
